andrea + bobby | married! | wild dunes resort wedding photographer

Get ready for a sweet one folks! This is the best I could do to narrow these down so settle in for a long blog post. =) If you know Andrea and Bobby you know that a) you adored them the moment you met them and b) that they have a rare type of kind, patient love that anyone would be lucky to find in this world. They are always smiling, always laughing, and always thinking about each other. That makes my job super fun and super easy. While they live in the Triangle area they decided to get married at Wild Dunes Resort in Isle of Palms, South Carolina, surrounded by their closest friends and family. There’s so much to love about this wedding: we had a mix of sunshine, clouds, and rain which allowed us to get some sweet umbrella shots (rain on your wedding day doesn’t have to be a bad thing!) We got to steal a resort golf cart and get out to the beach after the rain let up to snap a few photos just before sunset. Andrea and Bobby have a LOT of nieces and nephews and anyone who is familiar with my work knows I LOVE kids at weddings so this was a dream for me. Oh and Andrea and Bobby and their guests know how to have a GOOD TIME. This wedding was overall just a joy to shoot. Congratulations Andrea and Bobby!

Get ready for a super sweet first look!

While their guests finished eating we headed out to grab a few more portraits since the sun was finally shining a bit just before sunset! This ivy wall was in a parking lot behind a building. AMAZING!

michelle + jeff | married!

I’m sure I’m not the only photographer who becomes a meteorologist in the days and hours leading up to a wedding. Michelle and Jeff’s South Carolina wedding was no exception. The forecast changed every time I checked and it seemed I got there just in time for the storm clouds to start rolling in. It would rain a little, then stop. Rain a little more, then stop. Michelle and her sisters and girlfriends peeked outside just about as frequently as I refreshed the weather page on my phone, hoping it would clear up for just long enough to have the ceremony out back at their s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g family home on Lake Keowee. And after a little bit of a delay, it did! And you know what else? After a few more pop up showers following the ceremony the clouds rolled out and a rainbow rolled in. Yes!

Despite the weather, this wedding seemed perfectly Michelle and Jeff and, with seersucker, custom koozies, low country boil, and fireworks, perfectly South Carolina. Congratulations to you both – I hope the future brings you many more rainbows and fireworks wherever you go together. =)

I love all these colors together!

These kids are TOO cute! Love these multi-colored lanterns.

Oh hello, rainbow!

Love this sweet moment.
