I met Bethanyanne and Matt on a lovely Saturday morning on the campus of UNC-Greensboro, the place where they met and spend much of their time. I’ve been to the UNC-G campus before but I don’t think I ever noticed how beautiful it is! They really enjoy reading and writing so we incorporated that into the shoot. I love how comfortable they were together – it’s not every day you have a stranger following you around with a camera but these two had no problem interacting with minimal direction. After shooting on campus we hopped over to Tate Street Coffee for a few shots at the place they went on their first date. I love doing shoots in places that have meaning and memories for the couple – I think the comfort and familiarity really comes through in the photos when you’re able to just do what you always do together instead of being in a strange place with someone posing your every move.
